Project Overview

In my graduate level Service Design course, I designed and developed the ELMT Analytics Dashboard to give business stakeholders a clear, actionable, and real-time view of operations across orders, delivery, revenue, user growth, and regional performance.

The dashboard consolidates multiple data streams into a single interface to improve strategic decision-making, forecasting accuracy, and operational efficiency.

The primary goal was to transform raw operational data into a scannable, intuitive, decision-ready analytics platform that helps leadership diagnose trends, identify bottlenecks, and optimize business performance across all markets.

My Role & Responsibilities

I applied Human Factors & UX principles and analytical reasoning to create a dashboard that business leaders could understand at a glance.

  • Conducted requirements gathering sessions with admins, operational leads, and meal management teams.

  • Identified core KPIs that directly influence profitability, retention, and delivery efficiency.

  • Created wireframes + interactive layouts structured around how users scan complex data.

  • Designed visual hierarchy and interaction patterns that support fast pattern recognition and cognitive ease.

My Role

Product Designer & Data Analyst:

  • Conducted requirements gathering with admins and operations teams

  • Defined core KPIs and data relationships

  • Designed the dashboard using UX + Human Factors principles

  • Developed visual hierarchy, chart selection, and layout

  • Aligned data storytelling with real business decisions

  • Ensured scalability for future modules (inventory, promotions, etc.)

The Problem?

Leadership lacked a unified place to monitor:

  • Order volume and delivery performance

  • Revenue trends and forecasting

  • Customer acquisition metrics

  • Geographic performance differences

Information lived in multiple operational systems, creating slow decision-making and an inability to proactively respond to problems.

Summary:

I designed the ELMT Analytics Dashboard to give leadership real-time visibility into orders, revenue, customer activity, and operational performance. The final solution replaced slow manual reporting with a scalable, data-driven dashboard that improved decision-making speed and operational efficiency.

Business Impact

  • 70% reduction in manual report creation time

  • Faster decision-making for ops and leadership teams

  • Earlier visibility into delivery and revenue issues

  • Improved customer and geographic segmentation strategies

  • Scalable analytics foundation for additional departmental dashboards
